Dubbing tide hits Tollywood coast

As Tollywood filmmakers are still trying to find a way to break in tom Kollywood’s market, the Tamil dubbing filmmakers are on a rampage at the moment. There are so many dubbed films that are lined up for release in the next few weeks at the Tollywood box office.

Nanna and Sega will flag off this season and there are as many as dozen dubbed films that are ready to hit the theatres any time. Karthi’s Naa Peru Siva, Renigunta, Mynaa (Prema Khaidi), Goa, Urumi, Bala Surya, Dhanam, Sishira, Chikku Bukku (Fair and Lovely), Rajani, Ragile Kasi and few more dubbed films from various languages are ready to take on straight Telugu movies.

Our government doesn’t levy high taxes or take necessary measures to cut down on the heavy inflow of dubbed films. Therefore, they are troubling straight films and eating into their business at times. Recent dubbed hit Rangam is one of the reasons for this sudden boom.
